Walter Sienko is a highly experienced Psycho-spiritual Counselor and Meditation Instructor with a profound career spanning over three and a half decades. His extensive background is rooted in both academic rigor and diverse experiential training. He holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from Brandon University and a Post-Degree Diploma in Counseling from George Brown College, forming a strong theoretical foundation for his practice.
For 35 years, Walter has dedicated himself to the field of counseling and group work, guiding individuals and groups through transformative processes of personal and professional growth. His expertise extends to the facilitation of non-ordinary states of consciousness, a practice he has cultivated for two decades. This deep engagement is complemented by a decade of dedicated study and application in psychedelic work, including extensive private training and mentorship in the field. He has also completed training focusing on psychedelics and their role in cultivating wisdom, maturity, meaning, purpose, and spiritual experience.
Walter's approach is further enriched by significant spiritual and therapeutic training. He spent three years at the Transpersonal Therapy Center and has studied extensively with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. His meditation practice is deeply informed by seven years of study under Zen Roshi Sunyana Graef. Additionally, he is a trained Spiritual Director from Transformational Arts College and has participated in leadership trainings with the Mankind Project, emphasizing his commitment to holistic development and community support.
His dedication to community is evident in his long-standing roles; for seven years, he co-organized South-Western Ontario Psychedelic Salon (SWOPS), a monthly initiative for integration groups and meetings. Notably, he also led a men's support group for two decades, providing a consistent space for growth and connection. Earlier in his career, Walter contributed 13 years to the social work field, specializing in the critical area of domestic abuse.
