§ Psychedelic Integration Circle §
SWOPS - South Western Ontario Psychedelic Salon
An integration circle is a safe, confidential space where you can explore and integrate past experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness, like those from psychedelics. Led by facilitators Walter Sienko and Mary (Dreams the Edge) Foran, the circle is an opportunity to share your journey, listen to others, and connect with a supportive community.
The circle follows a structured format that includes introductions, a brief meditation to ground everyone, and an overview of the process. In the sharing circle, you can either share your own story or simply listen and hold space for others. This is a chance to explore practical concepts and find new perspectives on your experiences, your community, and yourself.

Some Definintions
So·mat·ics [soh-MAT-iks]
Somatics refers to practices that focus on your internal physical sensations and experiences of your body. Instead of just looking at how a movement appears from the outside or how well you perform it, somatics helps you become more aware of what you feel inside as you move.
The word "somatic" comes from the Greek word "soma," meaning "the body as perceived from within." Essentially, somatics is about understanding and working with your body as a conscious, self-sensing, and self-regulating organism. This approach helps you develop greater well-being and freedom in your movement.
So·ma [soh-muh]
Soma first entered the English language in the 1780s, coming from Sanskrit texts found in yogic traditions dating back to 1500 BCE. There, Soma was identified as a sacred plant made into a drink, said to bless those who consumed it with immortality, inspiration, ecstasy, and other spiritual powers. It has also been called "The Nectar of the Gods."
Soma entered the English language for a second time in the 1820s, borrowed from the Greek language, meaning "the body living in its wholeness." In this usage, Soma encompasses both the physical structure of our body and the emerging consciousness or intelligence experienced within it. Soma is to the body as mind is to the brain.
